Iams Animal Cruelty
At Iams, animal cruelty of any type is completely unacceptable. That is why we want you to be informed so you can help us stop animal cruelty.
One resource you can use is the ASPCA's list of humane law enforcement departments, animal control agencies, rescue groups, and shelters. You can search this list by your location to find the appropriate way to report animal cruelty in your community.
In the fight against cruel animal testing, the Humane Society of the United States has helped Iams. Animal cruelty resources can be found on the Humane Society website. You can learn how to donate your time and financial resources to make a difference in your community.
At Iams, animal cruelty in research procedures is avoided at all costs. If you believe local or major companies are conducting cruel animal testing, you can take measures to help stop them. You can write letters to your congressmen to ask them to work towards removing government-required animal research, and to ask them to try to win funding for alternatives to animal testing. You can also write letters to the companies conducting animal testing to express your concerns and ask them to seek alternatives.
Another way you can take action against animal cruelty is to sign Iams' animal cruelty petitions. One petition encourages other companies that use animal research to post their animal testing pictures online. This petition will, in essence, ask other researchers to be accountable by being open and honest about their facilities and procedures. Iams has already posted animal testing video and pictures in the spirit of open communication.
The other petition will encourage other large corporations to pledge their sponsorship to help fight animal cruelty. In the fight to stop animal cruelty, Iams sponsors the annual Iams Home 4 the Holidays adoption campaign along with the Helen Woodward Animal Center. Sign our petition to ask other companies to contribute their name recognition and financial resources to help end cruelty to animals.
